Description
The 330850-90-CN 3300 XL 25 mm Proximitor Sensor is an advanced eddy-current transducer designed for high-precision monitoring of axial and differential movements in steam turbines, generators, and other rotating machinery. Integrated with a 25 mm proximity probe and extension cable, the sensor provides a linear output of 0.787 V/mm (20 mV/mil) over a 12.7 mm (500 mils) range, making it ideal for measuring differential expansion (DE) between turbine rotors and stators. Constructed from durable A380 aluminum, the sensor operates reliably from -51°C to +100°C (-60°F to +212°F) and can withstand condensing humidity up to 100%. Its panel-mount design supports flexible installation in high-density DIN-rail or traditional control panels. The 3300 XL 25 mm system features FluidLoc cabling and ClickLoc high-temperature connectors to protect against moisture ingress, maintain electrical integrity, and facilitate precise signal transmission. Fully compatible with legacy 7200-series DE systems, the 3300 XL 25 mm Proximitor Sensor ensures easy system upgrades while delivering superior reliability, linearity, and EMI/RFI immunity in industrial automation and high-temperature environments.
Applications
1. Differential Expansion Measurement in Steam Turbines
Ideal for monitoring rotor-stator differential growth, the 25 mm probe and sensor pair deliver precise linear output, accurately tracking DE up to 12.7 mm.
2. Generator Rotor Axial Position Monitoring
Provides real-time axial movement data in mid-size to large generators, allowing predictive maintenance to prevent rotor misalignment or mechanical interference.
3. High-Temperature Industrial Environments
Capable of continuous operation at 200°C, the system is suitable for turbine casings and other high-temperature components without signal degradation.
4. Panel or DIN-Rail Mounting Systems
Thin, compact sensor design allows integration into dense control panels, reducing footprint while maintaining robust connectivity via ClickLoc connectors.
5. Legacy System Upgrades
The 3300 XL 25 mm Proximitor Sensor fully replaces 7200-series DE Integral systems, enabling seamless retrofitting with minimal changes to existing monitoring infrastructure.

Competitive Advantage
1. High Linearity and Precision
With a linear output of 0.787 V/mm and a 12.7 mm range, the sensor ensures highly accurate DE and axial position measurements, critical for turbine health monitoring.
2. Extreme Temperature Resistance
Probes can withstand continuous temperatures up to 200°C and intermittent spikes up to 250°C, making them suitable for harsh steam turbine environments.
3. EMI/RFI Immunity
Enhanced shielding and sensor design prevent interference from high-frequency signals, ensuring stable and reliable operation in electrically noisy industrial areas.
4. Moisture Protection
FluidLoc cables and front/rear probe seals prevent moisture ingress, even in condensing or humid environments, maintaining long-term reliability.
5. Flexible Installation and Upgrade Compatibility
Panel or DIN-rail mountable design supports tight installations; the system is backward-compatible with 7200-series DE transducers, reducing installation time and costs during system upgrades.
