Description
The 330500-01-05 Velomitor Piezo-velocity Sensor by Bently Nevada™ is a high-precision industrial vibration sensor engineered for automated monitoring of machinery and rotating equipment. Designed with a 316L stainless steel hermetically sealed case, it ensures reliable operation in harsh industrial environments, including high humidity and shock conditions up to 5,000 g peak. The sensor integrates solid-state piezoelectric technology with embedded electronics, offering exceptional measurement accuracy and long-term reliability without mechanical wear. It accurately measures absolute vibration of bearing housings, casings, or structures across a wide frequency range, maintaining amplitude linearity within ±2% to 152 mm/s peak. The sensor can be mounted in any orientation and is highly resistant to magnetic interference (<51 min/s/gauss at 50 gauss, 50–60 Hz). Approved for CSA and ATEX hazardous environments, the 330500-01-05 is ideal for critical industrial automation, predictive maintenance, and process control applications.
Applications
1. Industrial Machinery Monitoring
Used to track vibration levels in pumps, compressors, and turbines, enabling predictive maintenance and early fault detection to reduce unplanned downtime.
2. Rotating Equipment Protection
Monitors bearing housing and rotor vibrations, providing input for automated shutdown or alert systems in critical machinery.
3. Structural Vibration Analysis
Measures structural vibrations of machinery foundations or casings, allowing engineers to detect misalignment, imbalance, or resonance issues.
4. Predictive Maintenance Programs
Integrates into condition monitoring systems, providing high-accuracy vibration data that drives automated maintenance schedules.
5. Harsh Environment Operations
Operates reliably in temperatures from -55°C to 121°C, high humidity, and high-shock environments, suitable for chemical plants, refineries, and offshore installations.

Competitive Advantage
1. Solid-State Design
Embedded electronics and no moving parts ensure long-term reliability and reduce maintenance costs compared to mechanical vibration sensors.
2. High Shock Survivability
Withstands up to 5,000 g peak shock, making it suitable for equipment subjected to high mechanical impact or sudden operational loads.
3. Exceptional Accuracy
Maintains amplitude linearity ±2% up to 152 mm/s (6 in/s) peak, providing precise and repeatable measurements for control and analysis.
4. Flexible Mounting
Supports vertical, horizontal, or angled mounting without performance degradation, simplifying integration into existing automation systems.
5. EMI and Magnetic Immunity
Resistant to magnetic interference (<51 min/s/gauss), ensuring stable measurements in environments with high electrical noise or nearby motors and transformers.
