Description
The 330105-02-12-20-12-05 3300 XL 8 mm Reverse Mount Probe is a precision eddy current proximity transducer designed for automation and predictive maintenance systems in industrial environments. Engineered for reverse mounting configurations, this probe allows radial and axial measurement in applications with limited installation space or counterbore restrictions. With a total cable length of 2.0 meters (6.6 feet) and 3/8-24 UNF threaded stainless steel housing, it ensures reliable mechanical stability and optimal signal integrity.
Equipped with a Miniature ClickLoc coaxial connector and FluidLoc cable, the probe maintains consistent output voltage proportional to the distance from the conductive target. It features a 2 mm linear range, operating temperatures from -52°C to +177°C (-62°F to +350°F), and CSA, ATEX, and IECEx approvals, making it ideal for harsh industrial environments. The probe tip is made of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), while the case is AISI 303/304 stainless steel, providing resistance against wear and chemical exposure. The patented TipLoc and CableLoc designs ensure a secure bond between the probe tip and cable, with 330 N (75 lbf) pull strength, reducing maintenance and installation risks. The probe is fully backward compatible with other 3300 XL components, allowing flexible system upgrades and automated monitoring integration.
Applications
Application 1: Reverse Mount Vibration Monitoring
Used for radial vibration measurement on fluid-film bearings where space constraints require a reverse-mount probe. Linear range of 2 mm ensures precise detection of misalignment or imbalance.
Application 2: Axial Shaft Position Measurement
Enables axial position monitoring in automated control systems for small shafts, supporting rotor tracking and automated alignment in compressors and turbines.
Application 3: Keyphasor Reference Signal
Provides phase reference (Keyphasor) signals for rotor speed measurement and synchronization, enhancing predictive maintenance and automation reliability.
Application 4: Harsh Environment Process Monitoring
Suitable for chemical or high-temperature processes due to PPS tip and stainless steel case, maintaining accurate readings even in temperatures up to 177°C (350°F).
Application 5: Retrofit and System Upgrades
Backward compatibility allows integration with existing 3300 XL 5 mm or 8 mm transducer systems, reducing downtime and installation cost while enabling automated condition monitoring.

Competitive Advantage
Competitive Advantage 1: Precise Linear Output
2 mm (80 mils) linear range with less than 2 mV supply sensitivity ensures high-accuracy measurement for both static and dynamic applications.
Competitive Advantage 2: Reverse Mount Flexibility
Designed for limited-space installations, enabling measurement in counterbore, sideview, or rearview restricted areas without compromising performance.
Competitive Advantage 3: Robust Mechanical Design
3/8-24 UNF threaded stainless steel housing and TipLoc molding maintain mechanical stability and long-term reliability in high-vibration industrial equipment.
Competitive Advantage 4: High Pull Strength Cable
CableLoc design with 330 N (75 lbf) pull strength secures the probe-cable connection, ensuring consistent signal transmission during operations.
Competitive Advantage 5: Chemical and Thermal Resistance
PPS probe tip and AISI 303/304 stainless steel case withstand corrosive fluids and extreme temperatures, supporting continuous operation in harsh process environments.
