Description
The 330104-01-14-05-01-05 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe is a high-precision eddy current sensor designed for industrial automation and condition monitoring applications. With a 140 mm overall case length and 10 mm unthreaded length, this probe provides accurate position and vibration measurements with a 2 mm linear range (80 mils). The output voltage is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the conductive surface, making it ideal for real-time monitoring of rotating machinery such as turbines, pumps, compressors, and motors.
Equipped with a Miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector with protector and a 0.5-meter standard cable, the probe ensures robust signal transmission with minimal noise, even in high-vibration environments. It operates reliably in extreme temperatures from -52°C to +177°C (-62°F to +350°F) while maintaining supply sensitivity below 2 mV per volt of input voltage. The probe’s M10x1 threaded case and 15 mm maximum thread engagement provide secure mounting. Patented TipLoc molding strengthens the bond between the probe tip and body, and the CableLoc design offers 330 N (75 lbf) pull strength, ensuring secure cable attachment. Fully CSA, ATEX, and IECEx certified, the probe is API 670 compliant, and it is fully interchangeable with other 3300 XL and standard series components, reducing installation and calibration time. Optional FluidLoc cabling prevents oil or fluid ingress, extending the operational life of both probe and machinery.
Applications
Application 1: Turbine Shaft Vibration Monitoring
Provides real-time vibration analysis for turbine shafts, detecting misalignment, imbalance, and early-stage faults. Can reduce unscheduled downtime by up to 15% in critical power generation equipment.
Application 2: Rotor Position Measurement
Measures axial and radial shaft displacement with high precision, ensuring optimal rotor alignment in pumps, compressors, and motors, critical for automated control systems.
Application 3: Keyphasor Reference Generation
Generates accurate Keyphasor pulses for speed and phase measurement, supporting predictive maintenance and automation diagnostics, enhancing machinery reliability.
Application 4: Bearing Condition Monitoring
Monitors fluid-film and hydrodynamic bearings for wear or lubrication issues, allowing preventive maintenance and extending bearing operational life by up to 15%.
Application 5: Hazardous Area Operation
With CSA, ATEX, and IECEx approvals, this probe can safely operate in flammable or explosive environments, delivering accurate vibration and position readings without safety compromise.
