Description
The 330104-00-13-10-01-05 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe is a precision eddy current transducer designed for industrial automation, machinery monitoring, and predictive maintenance applications. Featuring a 130 mm overall case length and M10x1 threaded installation, this probe enables accurate measurement of both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values with a 2 mm (80 mils) linear range. The system outputs a voltage directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the measured conductive surface, ensuring high fidelity signal acquisition for both vibration and shaft position monitoring.
Equipped with a Miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector with protector and a 1.0-meter standard cable, the 3300 XL probe ensures reliable signal integrity in industrial environments. Operating across an extreme temperature range of -52°C to +177°C (-62°F to +350°F) and with less than 2 mV supply sensitivity, it provides consistent performance under variable voltage conditions. Its output resistance of 50 Ω and typical cable capacitance of 69.9 pF/m enable long-term accurate measurements in automated systems. The probe incorporates a patented TipLoc molding for superior tip bonding and a CableLoc design offering 330 N (75 lbf) pull strength, ensuring mechanical stability under high vibration. The probe is fully CSA, ATEX, and IECEx approved, API 670 compliant, and interchangeable with other 3300 series probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, reducing calibration and inventory challenges. Optional FluidLoc cabling prevents fluid ingress, enhancing long-term reliability in oil-lubricated machinery.
Applications
Application 1: Vibration Analysis of Rotating Machinery
The probe captures high-resolution vibration data on pumps, turbines, and compressors, helping detect misalignment and imbalance, and reducing unplanned downtime by up to 15%.
Application 2: Shaft Position Monitoring in Industrial Pumps
Accurately measures radial and axial displacement of rotating shafts, supporting predictive maintenance programs and improving machinery lifetime by up to 12%.
Application 3: Keyphasor Signal Generation for Speed Control
Provides Keyphasor output signals for rotational speed and phase monitoring, enabling precise automation control with improved phase accuracy of ±1°.
Application 4: Gearbox and Bearing Condition Monitoring
Monitors gear and bearing vibrations in gearboxes and fluid-film bearing machines, allowing early detection of wear and failure with up to 10% faster response than conventional probes.
Application 5: Automation in Hazardous and Confined Environments
Compact M10x1 threaded probe fits into tight spaces while complying with CSA, ATEX, and IECEx standards, ensuring reliable operation in flammable or hazardous locations.
