Description
The 330104-00-13-05-02-05 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe is a high-performance eddy current transducer engineered for industrial automation, vibration monitoring, and predictive maintenance. With a 130 mm overall case length and M10x1 threaded installation, this probe delivers precise displacement and vibration measurement in industrial machinery. The probe provides an output voltage directly proportional to the distance between its tip and the observed conductive surface, enabling accurate static (position) and dynamic (vibration) readings within a 2 mm linear range.
Equipped with a Miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector and standard 5.0-meter cable, the 3300 XL probe supports reliable signal transmission over long distances and flexible integration into automated monitoring systems. It operates reliably across a temperature range from -52°C to +177°C (-62°F to +350°F), maintains less than 2 mV variation per volt of supply change, and has an output resistance of 50 Ω. The patented TipLoc molding method ensures a robust bond between the probe tip and body, while the CableLoc design delivers 330 N (75 lbf) pull strength, securing the probe under high vibration conditions. The system is CSA, ATEX, and IECEx approved, API 670 compliant, and fully interchangeable with other 3300 series probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, reducing calibration and maintenance efforts. Optional FluidLoc cabling prevents oil and liquid ingress, enhancing long-term operational reliability.
Applications
Application 1: Long-Distance Vibration Monitoring
The 5.0-meter cable allows for remote monitoring of large rotating machinery, detecting misalignment or imbalance in pumps, compressors, and turbines over extended distances, improving uptime by 10–15%.
Application 2: Industrial Pump Shaft Position Control
Accurate axial and radial displacement measurements support preventive maintenance, enabling precise monitoring of pump shafts with 50 Ω output resistance ensuring consistent signals.
Application 3: Keyphasor Signal Generation for Speed and Phase
Generates high-quality Keyphasor reference signals for rotational speed and phase monitoring in automation systems, improving machine control accuracy by up to 8%.
Application 4: Gearbox Condition Monitoring
Monitors vibration and position in gearboxes, detecting early signs of wear, misalignment, or imbalance, helping reduce repair costs and unplanned downtime by 12%.
Application 5: Automation Systems in Confined or Hazardous Areas
Compact design with M10x1 threading allows installation in tight spaces or hazardous environments, maintaining high accuracy and operational safety in CSA, ATEX, and IECEx certified areas.
