Description
The 330104-00-05-10-01-05 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe is a high-precision eddy current transducer designed for industrial automation, vibration monitoring, and predictive maintenance applications. It provides an output voltage directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the conductive surface, allowing accurate measurement of both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) signals. With a compact 50 mm case length and M10x1 threaded installation, this probe is suitable for tight industrial spaces while maintaining high linearity and stability over its 2 mm range.
Equipped with a Miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector with connector protector and standard cable, the 3300 XL probe ensures reliable signal transmission and robust integration into automated monitoring systems. Operating across a temperature range of -52°C to +177°C (-62°F to +350°F), with less than 2 mV output change per volt input variation and an output resistance of 50 Ω, the probe performs reliably in extreme industrial environments. Its patented TipLoc molding provides a durable bond between the tip and body, while the CableLoc design ensures 330 N (75 lbf) pull strength, preventing disconnections under vibration. The probe is fully CSA, ATEX, and IECEx certified for hazardous areas and API 670 compliant, supporting interchangeability with other 3300 series probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, streamlining system maintenance and reducing calibration effort. Optional FluidLoc cabling prevents oil and liquid ingress, enhancing operational reliability in wet environments.
Applications
Application 1: Compact Motor Shaft Vibration Monitoring
Ideal for monitoring vibration in small or medium-sized motor shafts, detecting early misalignment and bearing wear within 2 mm linear range, reducing unplanned downtime by 10–15%.
Application 2: Pump and Compressor Shaft Position Control
Provides accurate axial and radial displacement readings for pumps and compressors, enabling predictive maintenance with precise 50 Ω output resistance measurements.
Application 3: Keyphasor Signal Generation for Rotational Speed
Generates high-fidelity Keyphasor signals for machine speed and phase monitoring, supporting automated process control and improving efficiency by up to 8%.
Application 4: Gearbox Vibration Analysis
Measures dynamic vibration and shaft displacement in industrial gearboxes, detecting imbalance and misalignment, enabling maintenance intervention that reduces repair costs by 12%.
Application 5: General Position Sensing in Constrained Spaces
Suitable for installations where space is limited, providing reliable position measurement in machinery with compact cabling requirements, maintaining signal accuracy without optional FluidLoc cabling.
