As an integral component of proximity transducer systems, the 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probes are designed to accurately measure the distance between the probe tip and a conductive target surface, converting mechanical motion into a stable, linear electrical output suitable for vibration, position, and speed analysis.

Operating on a proven non-contact eddy current measurement principle, the 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probes generate instantaneous output signals that are directly proportional to shaft movement. This enables precise monitoring of radial vibration, axial (thrust) position, and phase reference signals in high-speed and high-load rotating machinery. With a defined 2 mm linear range, the 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probes provide excellent resolution, allowing early detection of mechanical issues such as imbalance, misalignment, bearing wear, and thermal growth before they escalate into critical failures.

Applications
