Description
The 330102-00-20-10-01-05 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe system is designed to provide highly accurate, real-time measurements of vibration and position in critical industrial machinery. The system works by generating an output voltage that directly corresponds to the distance between the probe tip and the conductive surface it monitors, enabling precise measurement of both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) parameters. This makes the system ideal for monitoring a wide range of equipment, including fluid-film bearing machines, turbines, compressors, and motors, where accurate vibration and position data are essential for preventing mechanical issues such as misalignments, imbalances, and wear.
One of the key advantages of the 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe system is its advanced performance, setting it apart from other eddy current transducer systems. It offers a robust solution with a 5-meter standard system that complies fully with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 670 Standard. This includes meeting stringent requirements for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability, ensuring it operates reliably in demanding environments. Whether it’s high-precision measurements or temperature fluctuations, the system provides superior performance and can be trusted for long-term use in critical applications.
An important feature of the 3300 XL 8 mm system is its modular design, which allows for full interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors. This design eliminates the need to match or bench calibrate individual components, significantly simplifying installation and maintenance. Additionally, the system’s components are backward-compatible and interchangeable with other non-XL 3300 series components, including both 5 mm and 8 mm probes. This makes the 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe system incredibly versatile, able to adapt to different operational needs and accommodate space constraints where a larger 8 mm probe might not fit.
Applications
1.Rotating Machinery Condition Monitoring
It is widely used for real-time monitoring of critical parameters of rotating equipment such as turbines, generators, motors, and compressors, including shaft radial vibration, axial displacement, and shaft runout. The probe’s wide operating temperature range (-52°C to +177°C) and robust AISI 303/304 stainless steel housing ensure stable operation even under extreme temperature and mechanical stress conditions.
2.Industrial Equipment Alignment and Positioning
The probe provides accurate position detection with a 2 mm linear range and low supply sensitivity (less than 2 mV output voltage change per volt input voltage change), making it suitable for precision alignment tasks in manufacturing lines, such as workpiece positioning in automated assembly systems, mold clamping position detection in injection molding machines, and tool setting in CNC machining centers. Its 0 in unthreaded length and 2 in overall case length allow flexible installation in compact spaces.
3.Hazardous Area Sensing Applications
With CSA, ATEX, and IECEx certifications, the probe is compliant with international explosion-proof standards, enabling safe deployment in hazardous industrial environments containing flammable gases, vapors, or dust, such as oil and gas refineries, chemical plants, and mining operations.
4.Heavy-Duty Industrial Process Control
The probe’s polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) probe tip offers excellent chemical resistance and wear resistance, making it ideal for use in corrosive working conditions in industries like petrochemicals, metallurgy, and power generation. It can be paired with 3300-series 5 mm or 3300 XL 8 mm proximity probe extension cables, and its miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector with protector ensures reliable signal transmission in high-vibration scenarios.

Competitive Advantage
1.Multi-Agency Certification for Hazardous Area Safety Compliance
Certified by three international authoritative certifications: CSA, ATEX, and IECEx, it fully complies with usage standards for explosive hazardous environments. It can be safely applied in dangerous areas with flammable gases, vapors, or dust, such as oil refineries, chemical plants, and coal mines, without the need for additional explosion-proof devices. This reduces project compliance costs and safety risks, making it the preferred solution for displacement monitoring in hazardous environments.
2. Broad Compatibility with Mainstream Monitoring Ecosystems
It supports connection with 3300-series 5 mm, 3300 XL 8 mm proximity probes and extension cables, forming seamless compatibility with the same series of proximitor sensors. Upgrades or replacements can be completed without changing existing monitoring platforms. The wide voltage supply design of -17.5 Vdc to -26 Vdc adapts to common power supply specifications in industrial fields, reducing system integration difficulty and improving the convenience and economy of equipment replacement.
3. Compact, Flexible Design for Enhanced Installation Versatility
Adopting a compact structure with 0-inch unthreaded length + 2-inch overall case length, coupled with a small size of 1.5×1.3×113cm and lightweight design of 0.12kg, it can be easily installed in narrow spaces or dense components of equipment, solving the installation limitations of traditional probes. Simultaneously, the configuration of 1.0-meter (3.3-foot) standard cable + miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector (with connector protector) not only ensures flexibility in installation distance but also enhances the connector's vibration resistance and anti-loosening performance, adapting to the wiring needs of complex industrial sites.
