Description
The 330102-00-15-10-01-05 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe is a precision eddy current transducer designed for automation systems, vibration monitoring, and predictive maintenance applications. This probe delivers an output voltage directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the conductive surface, allowing for accurate static (position) and dynamic (vibration) measurements. Featuring a minimum unthreaded length of 0.0 inches and an overall case length of 1.5 inches, it is ideal for installations requiring compact mounting, while its total length of 1.0 meter (3.3 feet) ensures flexible integration into existing systems.
The probe comes with a Miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector with connector protector and standard cable, providing robust signal integrity in standard industrial environments. It operates reliably in a temperature range from -52°C to +177°C (-62°F to +350°F), with less than 2 mV change in output per volt input variation, and features 50 Ω output resistance. The 3/8-24 UNF threaded case and a maximum thread engagement of 0.563 inches ensure secure and repeatable installation. The probe also incorporates TipLoc and CableLoc patented designs, offering 330 N (75 lbf) pull strength to resist vibration-induced cable disconnections. Certified for CSA, ATEX, and IECEx, the probe is suitable for hazardous environments and is fully API 670 compliant for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability. Its backward compatibility with other 3300 series probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors simplifies maintenance, replacement, and system upgrades.
Applications
Application 1: Compact Motor Shaft Monitoring
Measures shaft displacement and vibration in compact motors and industrial machinery, providing early warnings for misalignment or bearing wear, reducing unplanned downtime by 12–15%.
Application 2: Pump Axial and Radial Position Measurement
Monitors axial and radial movement in centrifugal and reciprocating pumps, allowing precise control of mechanical systems and preventive maintenance of fluid-film bearings.
Application 3: Compressor Keyphasor Reference
Generates Keyphasor signals for rotational speed and phase synchronization, enabling automated speed control and vibration-based protection systems.
Application 4: Gearbox Vibration Analysis
Detects shaft and gear vibration in compact gearboxes, helping identify imbalance, misalignment, and early mechanical degradation, preventing potential catastrophic failures.
Application 5: Moderate Temperature Industrial Machinery
Ideal for oil-lubricated bearings and moderate-temperature machines, providing reliable measurement with standard cabling without requiring FluidLoc options.
