Description
The 330101-40-60-05-02-05 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe is a high-accuracy eddy current transducer engineered for industrial automation, vibration monitoring, and predictive maintenance. It delivers an output voltage directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the conductive surface, providing precise measurements of both static positions and dynamic vibrations. Designed with a minimum unthreaded length of 4.0 inches and an overall case length of 6.0 inches, this probe is optimized for compact machinery and confined installation spaces, while its total length of 0.5 meters (1.6 feet) ensures reliable connection to the measurement system.
Equipped with a Miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector and standard cable, the probe ensures stable signal transmission in moderate industrial conditions. Operating over a temperature range of -52°C to +177°C (-62°F to +350°F), it maintains high stability, with less than 2 mV output variation per volt input change and a 50 Ω output resistance. The probe’s 3/8-24 UNF thread and maximum thread engagement of 0.563 inches provide secure mounting. Patented TipLoc and CableLoc designs enhance mechanical durability, offering 330 N (75 lbf) pull strength to protect connections from vibration-induced failures. Fully certified for CSA, ATEX, and IECEx hazardous environments and API 670 compliant, the 3300 XL 8 mm probe is interchangeable with other 3300 series probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, simplifying maintenance and system upgrades.
Applications
Application 1: Compact Motor Shaft Vibration Monitoring
Monitors shaft displacement and vibration in small motors and compact machinery, providing early detection of misalignment or wear, reducing downtime by up to 15%.
Application 2: Industrial Pump Position Control
Measures axial and radial displacement in centrifugal and reciprocating pumps, enabling precise automated control and preventive maintenance of bearings.
Application 3: Compressor Keyphasor Reference
Provides Keyphasor signals and rotational speed measurements in compressors, supporting synchronization and automated safety interlocks for industrial control systems.
Application 4: Confined Gearbox Monitoring
Tracks vibration and shaft movement in tight industrial gearbox assemblies, improving detection of imbalance or gear wear before catastrophic failures.
Application 5: Moderate Temperature Lubricated Machines
With standard cabling, supports oil-lubricated bearings and machinery, ensuring reliable measurement in moderate-temperature industrial environments without FluidLoc protection.
