Description
The 330101-00-59-10-01-05 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe is a high-performance eddy current transducer designed for precision position and vibration monitoring in industrial automation systems. With a 5.9-inch overall case length and 3/8-24 UNF threaded probe, it ensures robust mounting and reliable measurements on fluid-film bearing machines and other rotating equipment. The probe provides a linear output over 2 mm (80 mils), directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the measured conductive surface, supporting both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) applications.
Equipped with a Miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector and standard cable, the 3300 XL 8 mm probe delivers stable signal output with less than 2 mV variation per volt of supply fluctuation. Operating across a wide temperature range of -52°C to +177°C (-62°F to +350°F), and approved under CSA, ATEX, and IECEx standards, this probe is suitable for harsh industrial environments. The probe’s patented TipLoc molding provides a strong bond between tip and body, while the CableLoc design ensures 330 N (75 lbf) pull strength, enhancing system reliability. Optional FluidLoc cable configurations prevent fluid ingress, protecting both machine and signal integrity. Its backward compatibility with 3300 5 mm and other XL components allows easy upgrades and seamless integration into existing monitoring systems, offering advanced automation and predictive maintenance capabilities.
Applications
Application 1: Fluid-Film Bearing Vibration Monitoring
Monitors radial vibration on rotating shafts, helping detect misalignment or imbalance and preventing costly machine failures. Linear range of 2 mm ensures precise readings.
Application 2: Shaft Position Measurement
Provides accurate shaft position monitoring, supporting dynamic control and automated alignment processes in fluid-film bearing equipment.
Application 3: Keyphasor Signal Generation
Delivers phase reference signals for machinery diagnostics, enabling rotor speed and synchronization monitoring in automated systems.
Application 4: Predictive Maintenance Automation
Integrates into monitoring systems to predict mechanical failures using vibration data, reducing downtime by up to 20% in industrial operations.
Application 5: Retrofitting and Upgrading Existing Systems
Compatible with previous 3300 series probes and Proximitor sensors, allowing system upgrades without replacing all components, saving installation time and cost.
