Description
The 330101-00-30-20-12-05 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe is a high-precision eddy current transducer engineered for automated industrial monitoring and machinery diagnostics. Designed for fluid-film bearing machines, compressors, turbines, and pumps, this 3300 XL 8 mm probe produces a voltage output directly proportional to the distance between its probe tip and the conductive target, enabling both static position measurements and dynamic vibration analysis. With a 2 mm (80 mils) linear range and robust design, it ensures reliable automation performance in critical industrial environments.
This probe features a 3/8-24 UNF threaded stainless steel case with an overall case length of 3.0 inches, and comes with a 2.0-meter FluidLoc cable that prevents process fluids from contaminating the cable core, maintaining signal integrity and reducing maintenance. Its Miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector guarantees secure, vibration-resistant connections, while TipLoc molding and CableLoc technology provide up to 330 N pull strength, ensuring long-term mechanical stability. Operating across a -52°C to +177°C (-62°F to +350°F) range with 50 Ω output resistance, 69.9 pF/m extension cable capacitance, and less than 2 mV/V supply sensitivity, this probe meets demanding automation requirements. Certified to CSA, ATEX, and IECEx standards, it supports safe operation in hazardous areas and simplifies integration into existing 3300 XL transducer systems, fully complying with API 670 for precision and stability.
Applications
Application 1: Radial Vibration Monitoring
The 3300 XL 8 mm Probe accurately measures radial shaft vibrations in turbines, pumps, and compressors. Its 2 mm linear range allows detection of early rotor imbalance, enabling predictive maintenance and automated fault alarms.
Application 2: Shaft Axial Position Measurement
The probe provides precise axial displacement readings for thrust-bearing shafts, ensuring automated position monitoring in fluid-film bearing systems, enhancing operational reliability and machine protection.
Application 3: Keyphasor Phase Reference Signals
This probe functions as a Keyphasor sensor, delivering accurate phase reference signals for rotational speed monitoring. It integrates with automated vibration analysis systems for predictive maintenance and process optimization.
Application 4: Overspeed Detection and Tachometer Systems
Integrated into overspeed protection, the probe provides reliable speed signals. Its low supply sensitivity and robust cable connection ensure consistent readings for automated safety controls in high-speed machinery.
Application 5: Predictive Maintenance in Automated Systems
Continuous monitoring of vibration and displacement allows integration with predictive maintenance platforms, reducing unplanned downtime, optimizing service intervals, and extending equipment life in automated operations.
