Description
The 330101-00-24-10-02-00 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe is a high-precision eddy current transducer specifically engineered for advanced industrial automation and condition monitoring applications. It generates an output voltage directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the target conductive surface, enabling accurate measurement of both static position and dynamic vibration in fluid-film bearing machinery. Designed with a 2 mm (80 mils) linear range and operating reliably from -52°C to +177°C (-62°F to +350°F), it also supports Keyphasor speed and phase reference signals for automated monitoring. The probe features a patented TipLoc molding method for robust probe tip adhesion, and a CableLoc design with 330 N (75 lbf) pull strength to secure the cable and maintain signal integrity. The miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector and optional FluidLoc cable ensure resistance to oil leakage, making it ideal for high-performance, automated machinery diagnostic systems. Backward compatible with other 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm probes, it enables flexible integration and component interchangeability.
Applications
Application 1: Vibration Monitoring in Turbomachinery
Measures shaft vibration and misalignment in compressors, turbines, and pumps to provide automated early warning for potential mechanical failures.
Application 2: Shaft Position Sensing
Delivers precise position feedback for Keyphasor reference and speed measurement, enabling automated rotational control and diagnostics.
Application 3: Predictive Maintenance Automation
Integrates into PLC or DCS systems to continuously monitor equipment health and trigger automated maintenance alerts, reducing unplanned downtime.
Application 4: High-Temperature Industrial Environments
Operates efficiently in extreme conditions up to +177°C (+350°F), making it suitable for boilers, steam turbines, and other heat-intensive automated processes.
Application 5: Compact and Flexible Installations
The 8 mm probe size and backward compatibility with 3300 5 mm probes allow installation in tight spaces without sacrificing measurement precision, supporting flexible automated system design.
