Description
The 18745-04-05 5mm 7200 Proximitor Sensor is a high-precision noncontacting gap-to-voltage proximity sensor engineered for industrial automation, providing accurate measurement of static and dynamic displacements. With a 5 mm probe diameter and a measurement range of 0–5 mm, the sensor outputs a voltage proportional to the gap, enabling real-time monitoring of machinery position, vibration, and alignment. The sensor operates reliably across a wide temperature range from -40°C to +120°C and delivers a frequency response of 0 Hz (DC) to 10 kHz, capturing both slow and high-speed motions with exceptional fidelity. Constructed with stainless steel housing and equipped with a shielded twisted pair cable, the 7200 Proximitor Sensor ensures high durability, IP67 protection against dust and water ingress, and minimal signal interference. Adjustable sensitivity and linearity of ±1% allow for custom calibration to optimize accuracy in fluid-film bearings, turbines, motors, and other precision machinery. Optional M12 or DIN connectors facilitate seamless integration into automation, condition monitoring, and predictive maintenance systems.
Applications
1. Vibration Monitoring of Bearings
Measures radial and axial vibrations in fluid-film and rolling element bearings with high precision, providing voltage outputs proportional to gap, essential for real-time machinery diagnostics.
2. Rotor and Shaft Positioning
Monitors rotor or shaft alignment within a 0–5 mm range, enabling early detection of misalignment or imbalance in turbines, pumps, and compressors.
3. High-Speed Machinery Feedback
With a frequency response up to 10 kHz, the sensor captures dynamic motions and high-speed shaft oscillations, critical for rotor dynamics analysis and predictive maintenance.
4. Automation System Integration
Analog voltage output allows the sensor to interface directly with PLCs, DCS, or SCADA systems, enabling continuous process control and position monitoring.
5. Harsh Environment Applications
IP67-rated stainless steel housing ensures reliable operation in dusty, humid, or contaminated industrial environments, such as chemical plants, refineries, and power generation facilities.
