The 3500/50M Tachometer Module is a 2-channel instrument designed for automation systems, accepting inputs from proximity probes or magnetic pickups to measure shaft speed, rotor acceleration, and rotation direction. Each channel conditions signals with 20 kΩ standard, 40 kΩ TMR, or 7.15 kΩ internal barrier impedance, providing accurate speed monitoring with ±0.25% resolution at room temperature and ±0.7% over full temperature range. The 3500/50M Tachometer Module generates alarms for speed, acceleration, reverse rotation, or zero-speed conditions and supplies conditioned Keyphasor signals to the 3500 rack backplane. It provides recorder outputs of 4–20 mA per channel, short-circuit protected, and updates measurements approximately every 100 ms. Consuming 5.8 W per module and occupying one full-height front slot, the 3500/50M Tachometer Module delivers real-time rotor monitoring, programmable alarms, and peak speed storage for automated machinery control.
