Description

The 3500/32 125712-01 4-Channel Relay Module is a full-height automation output module designed for Bently Nevada™ 3500 monitoring racks. The 3500/32 125712-01 4-Channel Relay Module provides four independently programmable SPDT relay outputs, enabling direct alarm-driven control of trip circuits, annunciators, shutdown valves, and PLC inputs. Each relay in the 3500/32 125712-01 4-Channel Relay Module supports AND/OR voting logic using Alert, Danger, Not-OK, or PPL signals from any rack channel, configured through 3500 Rack Configuration Software.

The 3500/32 125712-01 4-Channel Relay Module consumes 5.8 W typical and fits one full-height front slot with a matching rear I/O slot. Relay contacts support up to 2 A at 0–30 Vdc, 0.75 A at 48 Vdc, 0.2 A at 125 Vdc, and 2 A at 250 Vac, with maximum switched power of 450 VA. Minimum switched load is 100 mA at 12 Vdc, ensuring reliable signal transfer to control systems. Epoxy-sealed relays with 100,000 cycles at 5 A, 24 Vdc or 240 Vac support repeated alarm actuation in automated turbine and compressor protection systems. Operating range -30°C to +65°C and 95% non-condensing humidity allows continuous deployment in industrial automation environments.

Applications

Drive Turbine Trip Solenoids at 2 A 250 Vac Load

The 3500/32 125712-01 4-Channel Relay Module switches up to 2 A at 250 Vac and 2 A at 0–30 Vdc, allowing the 3500/32 125712-01 4-Channel Relay Module to directly energize turbine trip solenoids without intermediate relays. With 450 VA maximum switched power, the 3500/32 125712-01 4-Channel Relay Module can handle high-energy shutdown circuits triggered by overspeed or high vibration alarms.

Combine Multiple Alarm Inputs Using AND OR Logic

The 3500/32 125712-01 4-Channel Relay Module processes Alert, Danger, Not-OK, and PPL inputs from any rack channel. By executing AND/OR voting logic internally, the 3500/32 125712-01 4-Channel Relay Module enables multi-sensor trip conditions such as “2-out-of-3 vibration channels exceed setpoint,” reducing nuisance shutdown events in automated compressor trains.

Send Hardwired Alarm Status to PLC or DCS at 12 Vdc 100 mA Minimum Load

With a minimum switched current of 100 mA at 12 Vdc, the 3500/32 125712-01 4-Channel Relay Module reliably drives PLC or DCS digital inputs. The 3500/32 125712-01 4-Channel Relay Module ensures accurate signal transfer even under low-current control circuits, supporting automated interlock and sequence control systems.

Control Separate Warning and Trip Circuits with Four SPDT Outputs

Each SPDT relay in the 3500/32 125712-01 4-Channel Relay Module can be configured as Normally Energized or Normally Deenergized. This allows the 3500/32 125712-01 4-Channel Relay Module to divide four channels into independent warning, shutdown, and backup trip paths within a single full-height rack slot.

Competitive Advantage

Handle 100000 Switching Cycles for Repeated Alarm Events

Epoxy-sealed contacts rated for 100000 cycles at 5 A, 24 Vdc or 240 Vac allow the 3500/32 125712-01 4-Channel Relay Module to support frequent automated alarm actuation in continuous process plants without early contact wear.

Operate in -30°C to +65°C Control Cabinets

The 3500/32 125712-01 4-Channel Relay Module functions across -30°C to +65°C and 95% non-condensing humidity. This temperature range enables the 3500/32 125712-01 4-Channel Relay Module to remain active inside turbine enclosures and outdoor compressor stations.

Reduce External Interposing Relays with 450 VA Switching Capacity

Because the 3500/32 125712-01 4-Channel Relay Module supports up to 450 VA, the 3500/32 125712-01 4-Channel Relay Module minimizes additional relay panels, lowering wiring complexity and rack space usage in automation cabinets.

Limit Rack Power Draw to 5.8 W While Driving Four Relays

With 5.8 W typical consumption, the 3500/32 125712-01 4-Channel Relay Module maintains low rack load even when all four channels are active. The 3500/32 125712-01 4-Channel Relay Module allows multiple modules to be installed in one 3500 rack without exceeding system power budgets.
