Description
The 990-04-50-01-05 Vibration Transmitter converts non-contacting probe signals into a 4–20 mA proportional vibration output for automated machinery monitoring. Designed for use with 3300 NSv proximity probes and matching extension cables, the 990-04-50-01-05 Vibration Transmitter accepts peak-to-peak vibration amplitudes from 0–4 mils (0–100 μm) and transmits linear outputs over a 0.25–1.65 mm (10–65 mil) range. The 5.0-meter (16.4 ft) system length ensures installation flexibility in centrifugal compressors, pumps, motors, or fans. The 990-04-50-01-05 Vibration Transmitter supports field wiring 0.2–1.5 mm² (16–24 AWG), requires +12 to +35 Vdc power, and tolerates maximum loop resistance up to 1,000 Ω. Operating temperatures range from -35°C to +85°C, with storage up to -52°C to +100°C. Integrated Proximitor Sensor and non-isolated PROX OUT plus BNC output enable real-time vibration diagnostics. DIN-rail or bulkhead mounting options and potted construction allow installation in compact, humid, or condensing environments. The 990-04-50-01-05 Vibration Transmitter provides reliable automation input for vibration control and machinery protection.
Applications
Measure Shaft Vibration on Centrifugal Compressors
The 990-04-50-01-05 Vibration Transmitter works with a 3300 NSv proximity probe to provide real-time 4–20 mA signals proportional to shaft vibration (0–4 mils pp), enabling monitoring of centrifugal compressors in automated systems.
Detect Rod Movement on Small Pumps and Motors
Using the 990-04-50-01-05 Vibration Transmitter, axial or lateral rod vibration can be captured through the 0.25–1.65 mm linear range, with a system length of 5 meters, supporting small-footprint installations.
Provide Keyphasor Reference Signals
The 990-04-50-01-05 Vibration Transmitter delivers dynamic vibration and gap voltage signals via BNC output, allowing the control system to calculate speed and phase reference for automation logic.
Monitor Marine Equipment Vibration
With CSA, ATEX, and ABS approvals, the 990-04-50-01-05 Vibration Transmitter integrates into marine compressors or motors, supporting automated machinery protection.
