Description
The 330881-28-05-080-00-02 PROXPAC XL Proximity Transducer is a fully integrated proximity monitoring solution designed for industrial automation applications, particularly for fluid-film bearing machines, compressors, and rotating equipment with tight installation constraints. This self-contained transducer combines a 3300 XL 8 mm probe with an integrated Proximitor sensor, eliminating the need for a separate extension cable or external Proximitor housing. Constructed from glass-reinforced Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) thermoplastic containing conductive fibers, the PROXPAC XL housing provides superior mechanical strength, electrostatic dissipation, and corrosion resistance compared to traditional steel or aluminum housings. Rated IP66 and Type 4X, it withstands harsh environments with temperatures ranging from -52°C to +100°C (-62°F to +212°F) and offers a linear measurement range of 2 mm (80 mils) with a recommended probe gap of 1.27 mm (50 mils). The assembly accommodates shafts from 50.8 mm to 76.2 mm (2.0–3.0 in) in diameter and supports field wiring of 0.2–1.5 mm² (16–24 AWG) with an output resistance of 50 Ω and supply sensitivity of less than 2 mV change per volt input. By combining probe, sensor, and housing into a single unit, the PROXPAC XL enhances automation system reliability, simplifies installation, and ensures precise, real-time monitoring of vibration, shaft position, and speed.
