Description
The 330106-05-30-90-02-00 3300 XL 8 mm Reverse Mount Probe is a high-precision eddy current proximity sensor designed for automated monitoring of industrial rotating equipment where standard probe mounting is limited. Featuring a 3/8-24 UNF thread with a maximum engagement of 0.563 inches, this reverse mount configuration allows for compact installation in constrained spaces without sacrificing performance. The probe provides an analog output voltage directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the conductive target surface, with a linear range of 2 mm (80 mils). Constructed with a Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) tip and AISI 303/304 stainless steel case, the probe operates reliably in extreme temperatures from –52°C to +177°C (–62°F to +350°F). Equipped with a 9-meter total length and a miniature ClickLoc coaxial connector, it supports 16–24 AWG field wiring and optional FluidLoc protection for oil- and fluid-heavy environments. The probe is fully backward compatible with 3300 XL 8 mm systems, supporting vibration and position measurements, Keyphasor reference, and speed monitoring, while TipLoc and CableLoc patented designs ensure robust tip-to-body bonding and 330 N (75 lbf) cable pull strength for secure installation in demanding industrial conditions. Optional Extended Temperature Range (ETR) versions allow operation up to 218°C (425°F) with compatible ETR extension cables rated to 260°C (500°F).
Applications
Constrained Mounting Shaft Monitoring
Reverse mount configuration enables vibration and position measurement in tight machine layouts, such as pumps or compressors with limited side or rear access.
Fluid-Film Bearing Vibration Detection
Measures dynamic shaft vibration on turbines, compressors, and generators to detect imbalance or misalignment early, protecting critical machinery.
Keyphasor Phase Reference
Provides accurate phase reference signals for rotational speed synchronization in turbine generators, compressors, and other high-speed machinery.
Extended Temperature Machinery Monitoring
Suitable for high-temperature operations up to 218°C (425°F) with ETR variants, including steam turbines, high-speed compressors, and hot-process motors.
Predictive Maintenance Integration
Works with 3300 XL Proximitor Sensors for continuous condition monitoring, reducing downtime and maintenance costs through predictive analytics.

Competitive Advantage
Reverse Mount Flexibility
Compact mounting allows access in constrained spaces while maintaining precise 2 mm linear measurement range.
High-Temperature Capability
ETR option supports extreme operating conditions up to 218°C (425°F) for both probe and extension cable, ensuring reliability in high-heat industrial applications.
Robust Mechanical Integrity
TipLoc molding and CableLoc technology ensure secure probe tip attachment and 330 N (75 lbf) cable pull strength in harsh environments.
Seamless System Compatibility
Fully backward compatible with 3300 XL 8 mm probes, extension cables, and Proximitor Sensors, enabling smooth upgrades without recalibration.
Fluid Resistance
Optional FluidLoc cable prevents ingress of oil or industrial fluids, protecting signal integrity and reducing maintenance in lubrication-heavy equipment.
