Description
The 330105-02-12-50-02-00 3300 XL 8 mm Reverse Mount Probe is a high-precision eddy current transducer specifically designed for vibration and position measurements in fluid-film bearing machines where space limitations or reverse mounting requirements exist. With a 2 mm linear range (80 mils) and a 5-meter standard ClickLoc coaxial cable, this probe provides an output voltage directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface, enabling accurate static and dynamic displacement measurements.
Constructed with Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) probe tip and AISI 303/304 stainless steel case, the probe ensures high chemical and thermal resistance. The TipLoc molding method enhances the bond between probe tip and body, while the CableLoc design secures the cable with 330 N (75 lbf) pull strength, ensuring reliable operation in high-vibration environments. Optional FluidLoc cable prevents leaks from oil or other fluids, and the system fully complies with API 670 standards for linearity, temperature stability, and accuracy.
This reverse mount configuration allows installation in tight or obstructed areas, making it ideal for retrofit applications, compact machinery, and positions where standard 8 mm or 5 mm probes cannot fit. The probe is backward compatible with other 3300 XL system components, enabling seamless upgrades without recalibration of the monitoring system.
Applications
Reverse-Mount Turbine Proximity Sensing
The 330105-02-12-50-02-00 is optimized for reverse-mount installations in steam and gas turbines where axial access is restricted. Its 2 mm linear range enables accurate radial shaft vibration measurements for machinery protection systems.
Compressor and Pump Condition Monitoring
With stainless steel construction and -52°C to +177°C operating capability, the 330105-02-12-50-02-00 supports compressor and pump monitoring applications exposed to thermal gradients, lubricant mist, and continuous vibration.
Gearbox and Drive Train Displacement Measurement
The 330105-02-12-50-02-00 enables radial displacement and position detection in gearboxes and mechanical drive trains. The 3/8-24 UNF mounting thread and compact reverse-mount design facilitate installation in constrained housings.
