Description
The 330104-03-07-05-02-05 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe is a high-precision eddy current transducer engineered for demanding industrial automation applications. This probe delivers an output voltage directly proportional to the distance between its tip and the target conductive surface, allowing accurate measurement of both static positions and dynamic vibrations. With a linear range of 2 mm (80 mils), output resistance of 50 Ω, and supply sensitivity under 2 mV per volt, it ensures exceptional measurement stability. Designed with an M10x1 threaded probe case and maximum 15 mm thread engagement, it provides robust installation and enhanced reliability. Its patented TipLoc molding and CableLoc design offer secure probe-to-cable bonding with 330 N (75 lbf) pull strength, while optional FluidLoc cables prevent fluid ingress. Capable of operating between -52°C and +177°C (-62°F to +350°F), this probe meets CSA, ATEX, and IECEx standards and is fully compatible with the 3300 series system, enabling backward interchangeability and compliance with API 670 standards. The 330104-03-07-05-02-05 is ideal for vibration monitoring, shaft position measurement, and Keyphasor reference applications in turbines, compressors, and rotating machinery under extreme industrial conditions.
Applications
1. Rotating Machinery Vibration Analysis
Monitors high-speed turbines, compressors, and generators with precise vibration detection down to 2 μm amplitude, improving predictive maintenance and reducing unplanned downtime.
2. Shaft Alignment and Position Control
Provides accurate shaft displacement measurements within a 2 mm linear range, ensuring optimal alignment in pumps and gearboxes to reduce wear and extend equipment lifespan.
3. Speed Sensing and Keyphasor Signal Detection
Generates reliable output for rotational speed and Keyphasor reference signals, supporting automation and control systems at rotational frequencies up to 10 kHz.
4. Harsh Environment Industrial Monitoring
Suitable for extreme conditions (-52°C to +177°C), offshore, petrochemical, and power generation facilities, ensuring continuous monitoring even under thermal and chemical stress.
