Description
The 330980-71-05 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor is a high-precision eddy-current transducer system specifically engineered for tight-installation machinery, including centrifugal air compressors, refrigeration compressors, and process gas compressors. Designed for side-view, rear-view, or counterbore limitations, this NSv system accommodates small shaft diameters under 51 mm (2 in) and axial targets smaller than 15 mm (0.6 in). The system includes a 7-meter DIN-mounted transducer, supporting both radial vibration and axial thrust measurements, Keyphasor signals, and tachometer functions. Its A380 aluminum Proximitor Sensor integrates with one 3300 NSv or 3300 RAM proximity probe and extension cable, providing a linear range of 1.5 mm (60 mils) with a robust 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil) scale factor. The system ensures high signal fidelity with less than 2 mV change per volt of supply variation and is operable across -52°C to +100°C (-62°F to +212°F). Featuring TipLoc and CableLoc technologies, the system delivers secure connections with 220 N (50 lb) pull strength, while ClickLoc gold-plated connectors prevent loosening and minimize signal interference. The sensor’s thin profile supports high-density DIN-rail or panel mount installations, with enhanced RFI/EMI immunity for CE-mark compliance and reliable operation in industrial environments.
Applications
1. Radial Vibration Monitoring
Measures shaft vibration on compressors with small diameters (<51 mm), allowing predictive maintenance and early detection of imbalance.
2. Axial Thrust Position Measurement
Monitors thrust positions on flat targets smaller than 15 mm, providing precise axial displacement data for high-speed machinery.
3. Keyphasor and Tachometer Signals
Provides accurate phase reference and speed measurement, supporting advanced vibration analysis and diagnostics.
4. Retrofits for Legacy Systems
Replaces 3300 RAM, 3000-series, or 7000-series transducer systems, allowing use of existing probes and cables for minimal downtime.
5. High-Density Installations
DIN-rail or panel mounting enables installation in compact control cabinets while maintaining robust electrical performance.

Competitive Advantage
1. Compact and Flexible Design
Thin, NSv Proximitor Sensor allows installation in tight spaces where conventional 3300 XL systems cannot fit.
2. High Signal Accuracy
Linear range of 1.5 mm (60 mils) and scale factor of 7.87 V/mm ensures precise measurement for small targets.
3. Superior Chemical and Environmental Resistance
NSv probes offer increased chemical resistance compared to RAM probes, with full operation at 100% condensing humidity and extreme temperatures.
4. Robust Mechanical Connections
Patented TipLoc and CableLoc designs provide secure cable attachment with 220 N (50 lb) pull strength, while ClickLoc connectors prevent loosening.
5. EMI/RFI Protection and Compliance
Enhanced immunity to high-frequency signals ensures CE-mark compliance and prevents interference from nearby electrical or radio sources.
