Description
The 330906-02-12-10-02-00 3300 NSv Reverse Mount Probe is a high-precision eddy-current proximity transducer engineered for industrial automation and monitoring of fluid-film bearing machinery with restricted installation spaces. Designed for centrifugal air compressors, refrigeration compressors, process gas compressors, and other compact machinery, this reverse-mount probe measures radial vibration, axial displacement, and shaft position on shafts smaller than 51 mm (2 in) or flat targets under 15 mm (0.6 in). With a 1.0-meter cable and 3/8-24 UNF threaded case, the probe supports secure reverse installation in counter bore, side-view, and rear-view restricted areas. Constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel and a polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) probe tip, it provides excellent chemical resistance for process applications. The probe operates over -52°C to +177°C (-62°F to +351°F) with minimal supply sensitivity (<2 mV per volt), 50 Ω output resistance, and a 1.5 mm (60 mils) linear range with a recommended gap of 1.0 mm (40 mils). Gold-plated ClickLoc connectors with connector protectors ensure secure, vibration-resistant connections, with maximum torque ratings up to 22.6 N·m (200 in·lb) and recommended torque at 7.5 N·m (66 in·lb). Patented TipLoc and CableLoc designs provide robust probe-tip bonding and 220 N (50 lb) cable pull strength, guaranteeing long-term reliability. The 3300 NSv reverse mount probe is mechanically and electrically compatible with previous 3300 RAM probes and 3000/7000-series 190 transducers, enabling seamless system upgrades while delivering accurate automated monitoring in tight-space or small-target industrial applications.
Applications
1. Radial Vibration Monitoring on Small Shafts
Captures high-resolution vibration data on shafts under 51 mm (2 in), critical for early detection of rotor imbalance and bearing wear in compact compressors.
2. Axial (Thrust) Position Measurement
Monitors axial movement on flat targets smaller than 15 mm (0.6 in), ensuring stability of thrust bearings in automated process machinery.
3. Tachometer and Zero-Speed Signal Generation
Provides accurate speed and zero-RPM feedback for automation systems, enabling precise startup, shutdown, and control sequences.
4. Phase Reference (Keyphasor) Signal
Delivers high-fidelity phase reference signals for predictive maintenance systems and condition-based monitoring, supporting industrial automation analytics.
5. Reverse-Mount Installation in Restricted Spaces
Ideal for side-view, rear-view, or counter bore-limited applications where standard probes cannot fit, offering precise measurement in tight automation layouts.
