The 330878-50-00 3300 XL 50 mm Proximitor Sensor is an advanced, high-precision eddy current transducer system designed for measuring large-scale rotor movements and differential expansion (DE) in steam turbine generators and large industrial machinery. This system consists of a 50 mm XL Proximity Probe, a high-temperature extension cable, and the 3300 XL 50 mm Proximitor Sensor, providing the longest linear range in the 3300 XL series at 27.9 mm (1100 mils). The system’s panel-mountable Proximitor Sensor, constructed from A380 aluminum, operates reliably in harsh environments from -51°C to +100°C (-60°F to +212°F) and delivers a 0.394 V/mm (10 mV/mil) output, fully compatible with legacy 7200 and 50 mm DE Integral systems.
The 50 mm probe is engineered for extreme DE environments, withstanding continuous high temperatures up to 200°C (392°F) and intermittent spikes up to 250°C (482°F). A dual-seal design combined with a High Temperature FluidLoc cable ensures moisture resistance, while ClickLoc connectors with removable collars facilitate routing through tight spaces. The system supports various probe configurations, including straight exit (½-20 or M14x1.5 threads) and side exit variants, with an overall case diameter of 1.99 inches. The Proximitor Sensor is optimized for high-density DIN-rail or traditional panel mounting, featuring RFI/EMI immunity and SpringLoc terminal strips for robust and rapid field wiring.
The 3300 XL 50 mm Transducer System is ideal for monitoring rotor expansion, differential growth between rotor and stator, and axial thrust movement in large steam turbines and industrial compressors, providing precise, industry-standard signals for control systems, protection, and predictive maintenance.
